I had an idea for this sociological experiment. My goal is to engage in a more detailed and honest dialogue with friends and strangers and to learn more about myself and others.

Today's Questions
Salutations. Due to yesterday's overwhelming response, I have an equally ludicrous question for today. The choice is yours, as I realized that not everyone is as in love with the inestimably righteous John Carpenter. What is your favorite John Carpenter film of all time? Or, for those not as learned in the minutiae of his filmography, and for my own personal joy, what is your favorite romantic comedy? Be forewarned. I know that many of you have seen Carpenter films ( Halloween, Escapes From New York and L.A., Big Trouble In Little China, The Thing, the list goes on and on). If you opt a romantic comedy in lieu of a Carpenter film and I KNOW that you have seen a Carpenter film, brace yourself for ridicule. Seriously. Rock it out.

Big Trouble in Little China, what else! However, When Sally met Harry or is it When Harry met Sally. Also, Momma Mia is very good...I only watch romantic comedies. My problem is I can't remember the names of the movies...Five weddings and a Funeral is good too.
ReplyDeleteMom, I believe that it is Four Weddings and A Funeral. Also, When Harry met Sally. "Big trouble in Little China" is the winner for me.
ReplyDeleteOh my God, I forgot Big Trouble in Little China even existed and now I HAVE to watch it again. Awesome. I know When Harry Met Sally, Pretty Woman and Dirty Dancing by heart. I love it when my dad watches WHMS with me and says "You made a woman meow?" when the actor says it. Haha!
ReplyDeleteNeck and neck for me. The Thing because it scared the living shit out of me as a 13 year old and still gives me the creeps a little, particularly when Blondie the German Shepherd meets his/her demise. But also, They Live simply because how can you ignore a movie where Keith David and Rowdy Roddy Piper spend a half hour beating the shit out of each other in a single brawl?
ReplyDeleteTony, I don't think that I could have said that any better, EVER! Agreed, except Blondie, not so much as the stomach growing teeth and eating the arms of the doc while trying to shock the patient. Also, they did beat the living shit out of one another, and they were on the same team. WOW!
